Cleansed in the Jordan (2012)
32" x 40" framed $350 This work on paper was created during a worship service at Berean Church in the summer of 2012. After studying the story of Namann in the book of I Kings, with my children (for their Truth Explorers class) and during my own study of chapter 5 I sketched out this piece. Namann was told by a little girl of the man Elisha and that he could heal Namann's skin disease. When Namann went to Elisha he told him to wash in the Jordan, which is not a very clean or clear river. He didn't know why he was to go there, but he did obey and Namann was healed. The gold circles represent the two people God used to reach Namann and the flowing water represents the Jordan River |
