Ann picked up her paint brush in the fall of 2021 after and almost four year pause to pursue other media in her work. Completing a painting for the Lincoln Arts Council, reignited her passion to place color to canvas. Combined with her interest in hiking, backpacking, exploration, and travel of natural places, she began a new series of works in her unique acrylic and charcoal style. Her attempt through these works is to evoke the emotion, adventure, and child-like wonder she feels in visiting these places in hopes of inspiring others.
