Took Time (December 2008)
Scripture: Matt. 8:1-4 / Mark 1:40-44 / Luke
18” x 12”
Although Jesus was surrounded by crowds of people much of the time, He also took time to withdraw from the groups and to be alone with His Father. He found a moment to refresh and refill so He could go out and spend time with the outcasts. I used circles to represent the crowds of people. The large oval shape in the center portrays the important time alone. I am challenged by Christ’s example of periodic solitude and prayer with the Father. I realize that if I am to serve Him as He calls, I must take time to sit at His feet and be renewed.
