Three Times Denied (September 2011)
Scripture: Matthew 26:69-75 / Mark 14:66-72 / Luke 22:52-62 / John 18: 15-18, 25-27 16” x 16” NOT AVAILABLE I can’t imagine the hurt in Jesus when Peter denied he associated with Him even though He knew that is indeed what Peter would do. The muted blues of this image are used to show the melancholy attitude that must’ve resulted in Christ’s heart upon this betrayal. And yet it reminds me that this is who He died for – those who would at times turn their face from Him. It reminds me that we all fail and that like Peter, God can still use us to further His kingdom just as He used Peter as a founding member of His church. |
