Scripture:  John 13:1-17

   When the disciples and Jesus enter their rented room to celebrate the Passover, no one takes the time to wash their feet so Jesus in an example of servanthood, wraps the towel around His own waist, picks up the water basin and washes the disciples’ feet.  Jesus humbly takes the place of a lowly servant to be an example of how we should all treat one another and also to show that there is no “special position” in the Kingdom of God.  All people are equal when it comes to serving the Lord – no calling is higher than another.
