Rebukes Religion (August 2012)

Many times Christ called out the religious leaders on their hypocrisy and love for rules and regulations instead of justice for man.  They were too concerned with their religious duties to care for people.  The words that Jesus spoke to them insulted them and ultimately led the Pharisees to have Him killed.  Christ calls those who know Him to live lives like He did – deep in relationship with the Father Gad and not to perform religious duties but to care for and love the broken, wounded, misfits, losers and sinners in our world.  My constant prayer is to see people as Jesus sees them – His own.  – look for the word “Rebuke” in oil pastel under the paint layer.
