Psalm 88 (December 2007)
17 1/4" x 16 1/2" - canvas banner It seemed that for awhile God wanted me to get that sometime He is silent and that even through this time I need to trust in Him. As I moved further through the series I was very conscious about repetition and that although the paintings were part of a series I desired for them to also stand alone. Because of this, I wanted to portray silence in a different way than I had previously. Psalm 88 was a result of that. I included the colors of blue and green in this piece to emphasize calmness, peace, and quiet. The grid is made up of concentric squares and the word Lord however the center square is untouched to represent silence. |
