Psalm 77 (December 2007)
23 1/2" x 38 1/2" - canvas banner For Psalm 77 I was again challenged with the concept of portraying how God is sometimes silent and seems so distant. As I dug deep for an image, I could only think of empty space and its relationship to silence and its counterpart of space filled with shapes, lines, and colors which create this controlled chaos. I used these thoughts to divide the painting in half, “silence” dominating the left and the other character qualities of God listed on the right. The grid for the right is made up of the words God and Lord. |
