Another piece which I consider to be one of the promise pieces is Psalm 71.  The bright rainbow colors flow down the banner in a wave and seem to begin with the word God.  As the viewer’s eye travels down the piece, the character traits written in the painting change direction and become vertical instead of horizontal.  These words are all similar to fortress and the quality of God as our shield and protector.  Look closely and you’ll be able to see a stair-step made from these words to form a fort or rock image to reiterate this idea.
