Ever since I began painting full-time, I have been challenged by the idea of promise.  I think of Noah and the promise God placed in the sign of the rainbow and I am constantly looking for new ways to paint a rainbow without it looking like a traditional one.  Several of the banners in the series use the colors of the rainbow and these I have nicknamed my promise pieces.
