God is my fortress, my protector, my stronghold, my rock under which I find safety and comfort, where I can reside without fear or anxiety.  Not only is God all this, but He is also in control of that which pounds me in life.  When I realize these two truths, I can live life with great confidence.  He who protects me also has everything that threatens me under control.  His will and His way are all that matter and no one will ever pluck me from His hand.
