Psalm 118 (February 2008)
28 1/4" x 23" - canvas banner Proclaiming the praise of God and His act of salvation is reflected in the warm-toned painting, Psalm 118. A figure hidden on the right side of the work leaps in praise and the joy coming from this individual radiates in ripples beyond him. The hidden image of the cross represents the figures reason for praise – that of God’s work of salvation and restoration which was carried out by Christ’s death on the cross. I challenge the viewer to take time to read out loud all the times Lord is listed in this piece and mediate on that thought. |
