Psalm 101 (January 2008)
18 1/4" x 10" - canvas banner When I think of purity, I think of clean, no intrusion of anything dirty or evil. I also think of the slate being wiped clean. Just as with a slate, reminisces of the old are often seen in the dust left behind. The same is for us when we accept Christ as our savior. We have been swept clean in God’s eyes; however we often still have to work through the “dust” of our lives as He makes us more like Himself. This is represented in Psalm 101 in the way that the lines fanning from the bottom edge of the painting lightly appear in the silver stripe which divides the piece. God desires purity in me, and He is working on me. Someday He will come again. Are we ready for that day? |
