Jesus taught of God’s kingdom with first hand knowledge and how we are to be ready for its coming.  In this painting I have used oil pastel to hide two images, one is of a lantern and the other of a coin or talent.  These are two of the examples of God’s parables concerning the Kingdom of God and how we are to be prepared.  I hope this painting will challenge viewers to look into the scriptures, discover what Jesus says about His Home on High, and become prepared for Him for He could return today.
