Jesus came to represent God the Father and to show His love for all mankind despite their ethnicity, creed, social standing, or sins.  He came to make a way back to the Father and is worthy of our belief and trust of Him.  Although He was questioned by the religious and later crucified as a blasphemer, He was never the less who He said He was – the Son of God.  He continues to be the go between for those who believe and when the Father sees us – He sees His Son.  Just as He represented the Father to us on this earth and showed us the way to live, so He also represents us to the Father – in purity through the work He did on the cross.
