Location: Live Painting done during Give to Lincoln Day 2017
Every year, Lincoln hosts a Give to Lincoln Day where non-profits are benefited by supporters and compete for a chunk of money given out based on what the organization brings in on that day. On the actual day, the organizations set up shop downtown for people to visit and chat with them about what they do. I was asked to paint a painting live that day to help draw people in to an organization that helps to bring public artwork to the city of Lincoln. The painting was inspired by the surroundings at 15th and P street where a large, lighted, glass pole resides - one of Lincoln's public art pieces. This piece mimics that and the trees and sounds found in the corner courtyard. Though a cold, windy day, it was completed right in the final moments of the day.
