Environmental Conundrum
Resin, wire, disposable wipes
Debut Display: Gateway to the Arts, Gateway Mall, Lincoln, NE

Description

When Covid hit and there was heightened talk of disposable masks and PPE, and a shortage on toilet paper and flushable wipes I couldn’t help but be confused at the shear lack of consideration for how the disposal of these materials would affect our environment. Masks in the street, piles of wipes in the landfill which do not decompose in the sewer system as they claim. The loud-mouth blue jay flying away with wipes attached to its leg weighing it down was my attempt to comment on these questions.
