Dedicated (March 2012)
Scripture:  Luke 2:21-40

As with tradition Mary and Joseph have Jesus dedicated showing that this family lived by the law of Moses.  Here Jesus was given His name and here a man named Simeon received the fulfillment of the promise God had given to him
that he would not see death until he had seen the Savior. 
This man held Jesus in his arms and praised the Lord and Blessed His Name.  Then Simeon blessed Mary and
prophesized of Jesus’ future.  A prophetess also gave thanks to God for the Messiah had arrived.  How amazed Mary must’ve been that their 8 day old Jesus was already
changing lives!  He was The Promise fulfilled.
