Betrayed for Silver (May 2011)
Scripture: Matthew 26:14-16 / Mark 14:10-11 / Luke 22:3-6 14” x 24” NOT AVAILABLE This painting is all about the silver, the betrayal, and how little was given to Judas in order for Him to give up his friend, his Lord to be killed. The painting’s under layer is painted in vertical stripes to help emphasize the downward motion of the coins falling into a satchel. The concentration of the silver helps remind me to examine my life and determine what it is I am living for. Is it for money or things of this world or for the Lord and the calling He has put on my life. I don’t want to sell my Savior out for something SO MUCH LESS than what I receive in Him. |
