Balance seems like a strange title for a passage about feeding the 5000, but as I read the passages I was taken back by the contrast of so many with needs and Christ’s ability to step aside and refresh Himself.  I can’t imagine what it was like to know the hurts and needs of all people (as
God) and yet be limited to the strength and energy of man.  It must have tormented Him so.  It is remarkable to me that He knew His need for rest and rejuvenation so that He could do His Father’s will.  He came so that we could be saved not necessarily to heal all ailments or perform miracles.   It challenges me to really seek God and what His purpose is for me.
