Securely Buried (October 2011)

This short scripture gives us an important detail in the story of Christ’s death.  It tells us that not only was He dead and buried but He was secured in the tomb. There was no way that He could get out. The tomb was even guarded!  This fact comes in to play the day of His resurrection.  I purposefully painted this painting the same color as the one entitled  “Dead” to link this detail to the event of His death and make them companion pieces.
