A figure in the lower left corner of the painting kneels down at the amazing, merciful quality of God.  The King of all Heaven, who has His throne there, is merciful to me – a screwed up human whose only redemption is found in the same gracious, merciful God.  It boggles my mind.  The bold colors are used to emphasis the royal nature of God.
